Job Summary

Who we are

Sanderson Government & Defence (G&D) delivers resource & consultancy services, both directly and indirectly, to a wide range of homeland & international security and defence organisations. We are formally recognised as a prime supplier of contract and permanent recruitment services to HM Government and government affiliated organisations.

The opportunity

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our team, recruiting permanent IT & Business Change professionals on a permanent basis into one of our key clients based in Guildford.

You’ll work within the Sanderson G&D team based in Bristol and benefit from travelling to the client’s offices every couple of weeks to build relationships and hold meetings with your stakeholders.

This is a delivery role working a warm desk, with no KPIs around cold calling. This is not high volume recruiting. You’ll have accountability across the full recruitment cycle from taking comprehensive job briefs to interviewing, for diverse roles ranging from software developers to solutions architects.

There is a vast amount of work coming in from our existing clients, as well as exponential growth in that area of the business, so you have vacancies to work on from the start and throughout your time with us.

Who you are

Ideally you’ll already be working as a Permanent Recruitment Consultant with experience in the IT & Change market and you’re seeking an opportunity to apply your skills in-house.

It is not necessary to have exposure to Government & Defence organisations, but an interest in or an affiliation with that are would be beneficial.

You’ll have come from a 360 position, with an understanding of all aspects of the recruitment process. Your strengths should lie in building relationships through strong communication skills.

The ability to build rapport and trust with your customers comes naturally to you and you’re adept at sourcing and delivering only the highest calibre of candidates.

Above all, you’ll possess a strong work ethic, high value business ethos and an approach to your work that demonstrates professionalism and integrity.

What we offer

This is a chance to work in an interesting and elite market sector where you focus on building valuable, long term relationships.

Holding security clearance has enabled our Consultants a far closer working relationship with clients where it has traditionally been difficult to attend site. The service has therefore extended beyond the provision of personnel, and includes role profile development with SFIA competencies, pre-interviewing candidates and assessment of current incumbents.

If you have the ambition and drive to develop your career then we will offer long term career development and a competitive remuneration structure.
