Due to recent successes across our group of companies, and with business critical projects in the pipeline, we are expanding our Legal team. We are looking for a qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contracts to join the team within our head office in Bristol. Working as part of a small, committed and valued legal team you will support a dynamic, fast paced recruitment business.

The role will report into the Head of Legal. It is a full-time opportunity although part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.

As this is a new role, you will have scope to shape and develop it. From the outset, you will be the primary legal support for one or two of our smaller Group companies, and will support the Head of Legal on Group-wide initiatives, compliance and company secretarial matters.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include, amongst other things:

  • Liaising and negotiating with clients on complex outsourcing and consultancy arrangements.
  • Drafting and maintaining non-standard and core commercial agreements across Group.
  • Monitoring and advising on legislation changes (in particular, in relation to IR35 in the private sector).
  • Managing the Groupís portfolio of leases and licenses.
  • Supporting the development of internal policies/procedures and providing training.
  • Preparing client and internal legal updates as required.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 2-4 years of relevant experience and be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Both general commercial and contract law experience
  • The ability to support a diverse group of stakeholders to Director level.
  • The ability to explain and translate legal information simply.
  • Excellent relationship building capabilities.
  • A willingness to share knowledge and support other members of the team.
  • A reasonable level of self-sufficiency combined with an awareness of own competence/authority.
